Summary
It is a legal requirement that workers are trained to know about the health risks associated with asbestos, how to spot it and what to do if they uncover damaged asbestos. Before you undertake any construction work that is likely to disturb asbestos, you need to find out if there are any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the premises or structure. You need to know:

Learning Outcomes
Delegates will be aware of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and how it relates to them and will give workers and supervisors the information they need to avoid work that may disturb asbestos during any normal work which could disturb the fabric of a building, or other item which might contain asbestos. Delegates will understand the different types of asbestos and procedures to follow to avoid risk to themselves and colleagues.
